Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about Honesti.
The key product behaviors, limits, and privacy boundaries for hiring teams and candidates.
Does Honesti record the screen?
No. Honesti does not collect screen contents, screenshots, camera video, or microphone audio.
Does it record keystrokes or passwords?
No. Honesti does not collect keystrokes, passwords, clipboard contents, document contents, messages, or browsing history.
What does it observe?
During a paired interview session, it can report application and process names, visible window and browser-tab titles where supported, remote-access or screen-sharing tools, and connected display count.
Can it see another phone or computer?
No. The agent observes limited signals on the computer where it is running. A separate device is outside its visibility.
Does Honesti decide whether a candidate cheated?
No. It provides timestamped context for human review. Individual signals are not treated as proof and Honesti does not make an automated hiring decision.
Can a candidate stop monitoring?
Yes. Monitoring runs while the desktop agent is open for the interview; closing the agent stops it.
How long is session data retained?
The hiring organization configures a retention period between 30 and 2,555 days. Organization administrators can also delete a session and its associated candidate data.
Does Honesti replace the video-interview platform?
No. It is designed to work alongside the video platform and interview process a hiring team already uses.
